Join us in Fusatsu, one of the most ancient Zen practices that we continue to this day. Held on the evening of the full moon, Fusatsu is a powerful opportunity to atone and renew our Bodhisattva vows.

Details

Fusatsu is a Full Moon ceremony where we renew our vows to practice the precepts. We atone for our greed, anger and ignorance. We invoke the names of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, acknowledging that they are, indeed, not separate from ourselves. We hope you can join us for this beautiful, powerful and ancient chanting service. It will last about 20 minutes, after which we will continue with our usual meditation schedule.

You can find the text we chant for the ceremony here.
