Introduction to Zen Practice
The Sweetwater Zen Center is a Zen Buddhist practice community working together through sitting meditation and community outreach to realize the awakened way. Come learn the basics at our weekly introductory session:

Every Sunday at 10:am.  We meet in the Buddha Hall at 2727 Highland Ave., National City, CA, 91950.
In the orientation you will learn:
    - What is Buddhism and how is it relevant to our daily lives today?
- What is Zen?
- What do Buddhists believe?
- Why is posture and breathing during meditation important?
- What are the three pillars of Zen meditation?

After the introduction you are welcome to stay for the dharma talk by our teacher, Seisen Roshi.  A $5 donation is requested, but more is welcome as the Center runs on the donations of participants. Wear comfortable, modest clothing (no shorts or tanks please).

There is no need to make a reservation. Just show up at the Zen Center at 10am on Sunday. Do check the monthly calendar. If for any reason a class is cancelled, it will be posted there.
